VocabMaster App

People of all ages and backgrounds take courses to challenge themselves, further their career, or purely for the enjoyment of learning! I believe that learning something new, (and learning how to learn!), is a critical life skill no matter your age, location, or circumstances.

VocabMaster is a simple minimal and easy vocabulary learning mobile application. This app can be used anywhere anytime and help users to learn new vocabulary on the go. This app is designed to impower users to learn new language.

Our mission

A clear problem statement identifies user pain points, guiding the creation of UX mobile designs focused on problem-solving through empathy. UX design’s main job is to address user needs, ensuring solutions are both functional and emotionally resonant for a better overall experience.

So what is the problem statement:

How might we design a mobile app that empowers people to learn new vocabulary?

Good to know

Who: target audience 25 to 35-year-olds enrolled in online courses

What: A mobile application focused on learning new vocabulary.

When: This application is meant to be used on-the-go for quick 5 to 10-minute study sessions. That could be on a bus or train, waiting between classes, on a lunch break, etc.

Where: On the go.

Why: It can be difficult to keep track of all the jargon when studying a new discipline. Students need a way to methodically categorize, reference, and study new vocabulary and concepts so they can move forward confidently in their field.

Collaboration

These mockups are one of my early projects, among others. This one stood out from my other early projects because I had clear direction and guidance on UX fundamentals and design principles. With the help of my tutor, Vidyut Latay, I was able to create designs backed by data, unlike my earlier passion projects. This project was refined through user research, usability testing, and the development of an interactive prototype.
