How It Started

My journey into UX design began with a foundation in early childhood development. While earning my Associate's Degree, I worked at Nationwide Children's Hospital and Ohio State University childcare centers, identifying developmental setbacks and creating interest-based activities to support children. This approach improved focus, reduced conflicts, and fostered positive outcomes for children, parents, and educators alike.

Despite my passion for early childhood development, challenges like burnout and low pay led me to step back. Discovering UX design felt like a natural next step, blending my problem-solving skills as I assessed children's needs and coming up with ways to solve these developmental needs, my cultural roots in color and design, and my commitment to advocacy for children, individuals with disabilities, and black empowerment.

Now, I’m embracing this new path, combining creativity and purpose to make an impact, just as I have throughout my journey.
